The installation costs of the Radiant Barrier, Blown Cellulose Insulation and Vent Fans depends of the attic and roof configuration it is installed in. An exact price of the install is not known until the attic and roof is inspected by a trained professional.
Older Homes:
Older homes without vaulted ceilings are typically the simplest homes to install the radiant barrier and blown insulation in. The attic has plenty of space to operate in, usually containing a simple truss design. The roofing material normally consists of asphalt shingles which are easily removed, trimmed, and replaced.
Newer Homes:
Newer homes with vaulted ceilings present a problem with a smaller area to operate in with more intricate truss designs. The increased amount of supporting beams increases the amount of cuts that are needed in the foil in order fit them around the beams. This difficult feature increases the installation time necessary to install the blown insulation and radiant barrier properly. These homes usually have tiled roofing that takes longer to remove, trim, and replace for installs of the roof placed solar attic fan and solar tube skylights.
